Giant Spiders Mobs

Okay, so all these spiders are built to be giant ones. I based the names and appearances off real spiders and tried to get the effect similar.
Some of the spiders are made with lower stats to make them able to attack my level 1 players in large numbers and still be rather harmless (no one should be scared a dandy long legs will kill them, apperance does enough of that in real life.)

#Dandy Long Legs (Level 1)

Large(10’) spider with tiny yellowish to reddish orange bodies with very, very long legs.

Attributes: Agility 3, Perception 4
Defenses: Guard 10, Toughness 10, Resolve 10
HP: 10
Speed: 40ft

###Favored Actions:
Bite: Agility (1d8) vs Guard
Web: Bane, Slowed. Agility (1d8) vs Guard

###Strategy:
When prey entangled in web, attack.

#Black Widow (Level 2)

Giant(5’) spider who is black with red hourglass on the back of its abdomen.

Attributes: Agility 5, Perception 4
Defenses: Guard 14, Toughness 17, Resolve 10
HP: 18
Speed: 40ft

###Favored Actions:
Bite: Agility (2d6) vs Guard, always inflict Fatigue on hit, on 10+ inflict Sickened as well
Web: Bane, Slowed. Agility (2d6) vs Guard

###Feats:
Superior Bane Focus, Fatigue
Multi Bane Specialist, Fatigue and Sickened
Potent Bane, Fatigue (affected target has disadvantage 1 to resist rolls)

###Strategy:
When target trip on web, attack.

#Brown Recluse (Level 3)
Warning! Spider will cause player characters to lose their lives or limbs! Highly toxic!

Brown spider, still large for a spider(5’) but smaller than the rest. Marks on the back. Makes tornado shaped webs. Defining mark, the funnel shaped web.
GM note: should mention the webs before attack.

Attributes: Agility 4, Perception 4, Entropy 5
Defenses: Guard 12, Toughness 14, Resolve 10
HP: 16
Speed: 40ft

###Favored Actions:

Recluse Bite: Entropy (2d6) vs Guard
Special: (Gangrene) Every round after being hit by Recluse Bite make a Fortitude check against a CR 20. If the check fails, inflict 1 lethal damage. This effect lasts until affected area is amputated or magically healed(PL 6+) The lethal damage does not go away.
Describe the flesh around the bite to appear as if it is decaying and every failed check, the circle of decay grows.

Web set: set up a web trap. If someone fails Perception check and walks into the web, Imobile is triggered on them.

###Strategy:
Sits in the center of their first web trap until something enters the web, then they strike. Only when disturbed should they attack. They do not fight with others.

GM’s note:do NOT google. That was a terrible idea.

#Wolf Spider (Level 1)

Huge, even for a giant spider(10’), and extremely hairy. Brown in color.

Attributes: Might 2, Agility 3, Perception 2
Defenses: Guard 16, Toughness 16, Resolve 10
HP: 22
Speed: 30ft

###Favored Actions:
Bite: Agility (1d8) vs Guard

Eight! Hairy! Legs!

The first time a creature sees the Wolf Spider they must make a Will Action Roll with a CR 15. Upon failing, they are inflicted with the Fear bane. The GM may allow other Attribute Rolls if it makes sense for the narrative and the character background in a way that would affect their Resolve to stay and fight.
(Thanks to @Great_Moustache for ability)

###Strategy:
The tank of the spiders, the Wolf Spider stays on the ground and lets the other spiders sneak up on their prey while the prey fights the Wolf Spider. They also tend to scare the cowardly.

What do you think? Any ideas? Do these seem like the right stats? And does anyone have any ideas on the Brown Recluse? I want it to be really dangerous but still not kill my two players, and I couldn’t find a bane to replicate the effect of its bite.

Always nice to have some more creatures for people to look at! Nice job.

If you would like, I could go back in your post and do some minor edits to help things stand out a little more for each spider (not saying you did a bad job, it is a good layout overall, just the hints of my OCD trying to creep in from the recesses I do my best to keep it buried in).

Go right ahead, I don’t mind

so did the quick edits for you there.

Like I said, good job on these. 2 things I noticed though:

  1. Black Widow could just have the Lethal Strike Feat (thereby dealing up to 5 Lethal Damage each hit instead of just the 1). And the Special can be as long as the creature is smaller (assuming by massive these are either Large [10x10 square] or “Massive” [15x15 square]) than it activates lethal strike.

  2. The Wolf Spider has access to the Fear Bane even though none of its attributes would allow that. Would need an attribute of 5 in Might. NOW, you can still keep it as it is and be fine, since it is a creature. Alternatively you could craft it like a “trap” that doesn’t roll (most traps you roll to determine)

Example:
####Eight! Hairy! Legs!
The first time a creature sees the Wolf Spider the must make a Will Action Roll with a CR 15 (or whatever you think seems right). Upon failing, they are inflicted with the Fear bane. The GM my allow other Attribute Rolls if it makes sense for the narrative and the character background in a way that would affect their Resolve to stay and fight.
