Is it possible to use an attack of opportunity to make a bane attack?

The rules do not explicitly allow this, but also don’t mention, that the attack needs to be a damaging attack. So I would think that it is indeed possible. Am I right?

Any time the rules mention an attack, without specifying damaging or bane attack, than both options are included. So “attack” is a generic term for anytime both are applicable.
