Banes Inflicted by Exceptional Success

When you invoke a Bane with an exceptional attack, does the attack have to come from one of the bane’s attack attributes (as in their description)?
I would assume, yes, but the way it is worded made me question that.
“As long as you possess at least one of the listed attributes at a score greater than or equal to the power level, then you can inflict the bane.”
